Green Gear Cycling has been manufacturing fine specialty framesets since 1987. Co-owners Alan and Hanz Scholz both have over 25 years of experience in the bicycle industry and bring an uncommon approach to product design and development.

Utilizing our version of the very successful Toyota system of manufacturing, Green Gear produces custom fit bicycles, one at a time, delivered to meet your travel plans. Green Gear Cycling is committed to alternative, environmentally sound forms of transportation and recreation. Green Gear encourages its co-workers to ride, walk or bus to work. And, of course, everybody in the shop takes along a Bike Friday when they travel. The company recycles (and pre-cycles) everything it can, using recycled products when available.
In 1993, Green Gear received the Bicycle Friendly Business Award from the City of Eugene, Oregon. Bike Friday has also been in the news a lot.
