I'm honored to play with Joe Powers, whose musical talent brought him back to the festival for the second year. I would like to express my thanks to Ms. Miwa Lieberherr and Ms. Kimiko King from PanMusica www.panmusica.net. They did a wonderful job building a communication bridge beween America and France. I also appreciate the support of the Consulate General of Japan in Portland, Oregon, and Northwest Airlines. Traveling with the koto is always difficult but their efforts made the trip a smooth one."
